About the role
The Principal Product Validation Engineer will lead and contribute to the productization of MEMS-based timing devices. The role focuses on system-level validation, characterization, and cross-functional execution to evaluate new silicon and support production release.
What you'll do
- Grow and lead an engineering team responsible for validation, characterization, and release-to-production of MEMS-based timing products. - Plan and execute device verification and characterization plans while interfacing with cross-functional teams and external vendors. - Work with MEMS and circuit design teams to evaluate new silicon and recommend design improvements. - Design, develop, and validate PCB test platforms and firmware to enable automated data acquisition and analysis. - Develop and transfer algorithms to final test and production environments. - Perform engineering failure analysis to determine the root cause of product issues, and prototype system architectures for new products.
What you'll need
- MS or PhD in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent background. - 10+ years of experience in the productization of semiconductor sensor-based devices. - Experience leading engineering project teams and executing verification and characterization plans. - Fundamental knowledge of mixed signal circuits. - Hands-on experience with electronics lab instrumentation. - Programming experience with MATLAB and/or Python, along with strong statistical analysis skills.
Nice to have
- Prior experience with metrology systems for evaluating timing parameters.
