About the role
This Principal Engineer, Product Engineering role involves imagining, building, deploying, and running products for mass production, setting up test programs and hardware for devices on advanced industrial test systems.
What you'll do
- Set up and transfer new products and technology to test locations in Asia for mass production.
- Support and resolve device testing or program-related issues.
- Maintain and enhance product test yield and quality of devices in final test, system level test, wafer, and bump sort.
- Perform cost reduction activities such as product yield improvement, test insertion elimination, test time reduction, multiple test site enhancement, and wafer sort implementation.
- Drive continuous improvement for product quality, test efficiency, production throughput, and test hardware.
- Provide customer return verification support.
What you'll need
- B.S. in Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Basic understanding of product test methodology and implementation.
- Knowledge of C, C++ programming language.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and failure debugging skills.
- High attention to detail.
Nice to have
- Hands-on knowledge on JMP statistical analysis tool.
- Scripting languages such as Perl and Python.
