About the role
NVIDIA is hiring a Principal Engineer to lead platform charters across sensitive-information protection, enterprise data governance, and enterprise AI knowledge platforms. The position establishes platforms that protect sensitive content, govern access across collaboration tools, and ingest validated content for consumption by AI agents.
What you'll do
- Own the roadmap for sensitive-information detection and remediation while defining classification models, remediation workflows, and reporting alongside Security, Legal, and Finance teams. - Lead build-vs-buy decisions and vendor evaluations to determine internal investments versus third-party DLP or search tools. - Drive the production rollout and self-service onboarding for the enterprise data access platform across connectors including Outlook, Teams, Slack, Confluence, OneDrive, SharePoint, Google Drive, and Glean. - Design and implement export-control enforcement, authorization checks, schema design, data masking, retention, RBAC controls, and long-term audit logging. - Drive integration of enterprise content sources—such as document stores, wikis, and cloud drives—into the AI knowledge platform with access control fidelity and production readiness gates. - Serve as the technical lead across workstreams, aligning cross-functional stakeholders while mentoring engineers with runbooks and operational documentation.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - 15+ years of experience building and operating large-scale enterprise platforms with expanding technical scope. - Technical background in backend systems, distributed systems, high-performance computing, large-scale data processing, and indexing pipelines. - Experience building or integrating secure API platforms, data connectors, or enterprise SaaS integrations (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, Google Drive, Slack, or Teams). - Background in enterprise security, data governance, or compliance platforms involving classification, remediation workflows, access control models, and audit requirements. - Proven experience driving cross-functional alignment across Security, Legal, Finance, and platform engineering teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with AI/LLM data pipelines, vector stores, or RAG architectures connecting enterprise content sources to AI platforms with strict access controls. - Hands-on experience with Databricks or similar platforms for audit logging, data governance, and RBAC. - Familiarity with Glean or similar enterprise search/DLP products and their integration patterns. - Experience with vendor evaluation and build-vs-buy decisions for enterprise security or content platforms. - Track record of leading platform migrations, tenant consolidations, or governance modernization efforts.
