About the role
This Principal Engineer Design role involves leading the design of Power Management ICs and POL ICs. This position focuses on the specification and transistor-level design of low-power/high-performance analog circuits and power management modules using CMOS/BCD technology.
What you'll do
- Lead the design of Power Management ICs and POL ICs.
- Collaborate with Concept Engineering, Applications, Marketing, and Project Managers to define feature set, chip architecture, resourcing, schedule, and cost.
- Mentor less experienced designers in mixed-signal design practices.
- Support and plan DFT strategy and DFT design implementation.
- Perform all aspects of IC analog/mixed signal design from definition to production.
- Design Buck converter, precision analog blocks, higher voltage integrated drivers, switching FETs, sense, and protection circuitry.
What you'll need
- MS in Electrical Engineering or related field and minimum of 5 years of IC design experience.
- Strong foundation in analog & mixed signal design.
- Experience as a design team lead and manager.
- Design experience with Power Management ICs and LDMOS/BCD process technologies and PDKs.
- Experience in different modulator architectures.
- Proficiency with the complete suite of Cadence tools for mixed signal design, including Virtuoso Custom IC Environment.
