About the role
Provide technical leadership for Renesas' global engineering compute and design-data-management environment. This role combines hands-on CAD engineering with compute infrastructure oversight and Perforce/IPLM-based design data management across distributed engineering teams.
What you'll do
- Provide technical leadership for engineering compute infrastructure, storage requirements, and globally consistent Linux-based CAD environments. - Direct technical ownership of Perforce Helix and IPLM-based design-data-management methodologies for analog and digital design data. - Develop and support standardized project workspace environments, tool configurations, environment variables, and Cadence setups. - Create and maintain Python and shell-based automation utilities to streamline data-management workflows and project onboarding. - Lead the migration of engineering data and methodologies from legacy infrastructures to Perforce/IPLM-based platforms. - Deliver technical documentation, best practice guides, training, and expert-level escalation support for CAD and data-management issues.
What you'll need
- Significant experience in EDA/CAD engineering, semiconductor design infrastructure, or engineering compute environments. - Strong Linux/Unix knowledge along with understanding of engineering compute, storage, and data-management environments. - Experience with Perforce Helix (P4) or comparable enterprise version-control/data-management technologies. - Hands-on experience with Methodics IPLM or equivalent IP lifecycle-management platforms. - Experience supporting semiconductor EDA workflows and complex engineering project environments. - Strong Python and/or shell scripting skills.
