About the role
Provide technical leadership for Renesas’ global engineering compute and design-data-management environment. This role combines hands-on CAD engineering with responsibility for compute infrastructure, Perforce/IPLM-based design data management, and project workspace methodologies.
What you'll do
- Provide technical leadership and define requirements for Linux-based engineering compute, storage, and CAD environments. - Provide technical ownership for Perforce Helix and IPLM-based design-data-management methodologies, covering both analog and digital design data. - Develop and support standardized project and workspace environments, including EDA tool configuration, environment variables, and Cadence setup. - Develop automation for engineering environments and data-management workflows using Python and shell scripts. - Develop methodologies for migrating legacy engineering data and transitioning teams from existing data-management platforms to Perforce/IPLM. - Deliver technical documentation, user guides, training, and escalation support for complex CAD and data-management issues.
What you'll need
- Significant experience in EDA/CAD engineering, semiconductor design infrastructure, or engineering compute environments. - Strong Linux/Unix knowledge alongside experience with engineering compute, storage, and data-management environments. - Experience with Perforce Helix (P4) or comparable enterprise version-control/data-management technologies. - Experience with Methodics IPLM or equivalent IP lifecycle-management platforms. - Experience with semiconductor EDA workflows and engineering project environments. - Strong Python and/or shell scripting skills.
