What you'll do
- Own the architecture, specification, interfaces, and RTL implementation of the configurable IO subsystem.
- Define and implement parameterized, Python generator-based design approaches enabling scalable subsystem instantiation.
- Develop SystemVerilog RTL compatible with automated generation flows and maintainable at scale.
- Drive the creation of automatically generated testbenches and verification environments leveraging UVM frameworks.
- Support synthesis, STA, and timing closure activities to deliver signoff-ready designs.
- Apply AI/ML techniques to support code generation, verification acceleration, and design space exploration.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in digital IC design with a strong RTL development background.
- Expert-level proficiency in SystemVerilog RTL design.
- Strong experience with Python for design automation and tool development.
- Solid experience with UVM-based verification methodologies and testbench development.
- Strong understanding of UPF, synthesis, STA, and timing signoff flows, along with DFT concepts and integration.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

How we counted: 1057 open Digital/RTL Design (RTL Design) roles from 101 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 2 Nov 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Digital Design & Verification family row.
