About the role
This role involves the systems design and implementation of the physical layer for low power wireless products within the Wireless Systems Group.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and simulate communication system and PHY-layer modem algorithms for wireless applications.
- Develop and validate system models, fixed-point models, and hardware-aware algorithm implementations.
- Translate product and system requirements into technical specifications for RF, digital, software, and validation teams.
- Collaborate with RF/Analog, Digital, Validation, and Software teams for bringing-up, testing, and troubleshooting of test chips and SOC's.
- Simulate communication systems and participate in digital block design.
- Participate in RFIP design regarding block specifications and controls.
What you'll need
- Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in design and implementation of wireless PHY systems.
- Strong background in signal processing and communication theory.
- Experience in MATLAB, C/C++ and fixed-point/cycle-true programming and simulation.
- Experience on Modem and digital front-end blocks design.
- Experience in IC design production support, RFIP calibration and testing.
Nice to have
- Technical leadership experience in owning the Modem and DFE subsystem.
- Experience in Bluetooth, UWB and/or WiFi.
- Team management skills.
