Lead full-cycle design, verification, and silicon validation for digital power VRMs and multiphase controllers on the Infrastructure Power team.
About the role
As a Principal Chip Lead on the Infrastructure Power team, you will own the design, verification, test, and validation of power management ICs that supply power to advanced computing platforms. The scope encompasses the full design cycle from product definition through volume production and sustaining support for digital power VRMs, multiphase controllers, Smart Power Stages (SPS), and Vertical Power Stages.
What you'll do
- Own the design, verification, test, and validation of assigned power management subsystems through volume production and sustaining support. - Lead cross-functional technical decisions and requirement definitions with firmware, test, product, and customer engineering teams. - Perform root cause analysis on customer returns and field issues to ensure product reliability. - Contribute to system-level architecture and design reviews across analog, digital, and system disciplines. - Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies, verification strategies, and validation approaches.
What you'll need
- MSEE or equivalent degree with 7+ years of experience in Mixed-Signal SOC products, including tapeout-to-production experience. - Deep expertise in at least one core functional discipline: analog & mixed-signal design (compensation, feedback networks, power conversion), RTL & digital design (control firmware, telemetry, algorithms), design verification (simulation, formal methods, DV methodology), or system-level design/architecture. - Proven experience with automated bench testing and silicon/system validation. - Broad technical exposure across test, product, firmware, and behavioral modeling of analog and mixed-signal circuits. - Experience with tracking systems for development milestones, tasks, and bug resolution. - Experience collaborating with customers, marketing, applications, test, and product engineers across the complete product lifecycle.
