About the role
Renesas Memory Interface Division (MID) is looking for a PMIC Analog Intern to support the development of DDR PMIC solutions. The position focuses on research into PMIC control architecture for DDR power management applications.
What you'll do
- Research PMIC control architecture solutions for DDR PMIC applications.
- Perform simulations across different architectural and behavioral abstraction levels.
- Build and verify circuits using the Cadence design environment.
- Collaborate with design engineering (DE) and application engineering (AE) teams throughout the project.
What you'll need
- Current enrollment as a student who will not graduate before September 2027.
- Academic background in Power Electronics and Analog design.
- Familiarity with behavioral simulation tools such as SIMPLIS.
- Experience with transistor-level design environments in Cadence.
Nice to have
- Current PhD or Master's student with self-driven research capability.

How we counted: 98 open Analog IC Design (Power Management) roles from 11 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 5 Nov 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Analog & Mixed-Signal family row.
