About the role
As a Platform Infrastructure Engineer in the Film and Scatterometry Technology (FaST) division, you will help build and automate the infrastructure that powers applications supporting metrology solutions.
What you'll do
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters and automate environment builds. - Improve monitoring and platform reliability while streamlining deployment workflows for application teams. - Own platform components from end to end and participate in technical design and code reviews.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree with 4 years of related experience, or Master's degree with 2 years of related experience. - Hands-on experience deploying and troubleshooting applications on Kubernetes, in production or in a substantial lab or project setting. - Linux administration skills and working knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, and load balancing. - Experience with containers such as Docker and with at least one CI/CD system. - Scripting or programming ability in Python, Go, or Bash. - Exposure to infrastructure as code or configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Helm.
Nice to have
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), or progress toward one. - Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry. - Familiarity with on-premises Kubernetes distributions (such as RKE2, k3s, or OpenShift) or air-gapped environments. - Exposure to virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM, or Hyper-V) or server and network hardware. - Familiarity with GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux. - Exposure to public cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or GCP. - Interest in semiconductor, manufacturing, or other industrial environments.
