About the role
This role involves defining and implementing digital chip SOCs for communications via Low Earth Orbit satellites and Amazon gateways. The team defines modems, high-speed interfaces, embedded processors, and DSP solutions in latest CMOS generation technologies.
What you'll do
- Work with RTL/logic designers on architectural feasibility studies and power-performance-area tradeoffs for physical design closure.
- Drive IO/Core block physical implementation including synthesis, floor planning, bus/pin planning, place and route, and power/clock distribution.
- Conduct congestion analysis, timing closure, IR drop analysis, physical verification, ECO, and sign-off.
- Develop physical design methodologies, including using AI flow.
- Evaluate 3rd party IP and provide recommendations.
What you'll need
- Experience with physical design implementation.
- Experience with synthesis, floor planning, place and route, timing closure, and physical verification.
- Experience with power-performance-area tradeoffs.
- Ability to collaborate with RTL/Architecture teams.
