About the role
PsiQuantum is seeking a Photonic Model Integrator to develop and maintain a library of photonic component and circuit models. This role sits at the intersection of photonic circuit design, CAD infrastructure, and electromagnetic (EM) modeling for silicon photonics quantum computing systems.
What you'll do
- Develop physics-based models of photonic components for quantum circuit simulations.
- Build and maintain a library of photonic component models.
- Develop component- and circuit-simulation tools and pipelines.
- Improve the reproducibility of design-to-simulation workflows.
- Collaborate with PDK engineers to maintain model links to process design kits.
What you'll need
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in integrated photonics.
- Strong Python scripting skills.
- Experience with photonic layout tools such as KLayout or Cadence Virtuoso.
- Experience with EM solvers such as Lumerical FDTD/MODE, HFSS, CST, or Tidy3D.
- Experience with circuit simulators such as SPICE, INTERCONNECT, Caphe, or PhotonForge.
- Demonstrated interest in quantum computing.
