About the role
Photomask Data Preparation/System Administration Engineers manage architecture design, implementation, and IT operations across server infrastructure and tape-out mask data preparation environments. The position supports TSMC Arizona's EBO operations covering EUV and Optical photomask making.
What you'll do
- Manage Linux systems and sustain operations for the mask data preparation environment. - Execute tape-out operations, mask data verification, mask pattern conversion, and OPC handling. - Implement and maintain IT security enhancement activities including IP management, AWL, ACL, and Gatekeeper. - Administer Windows, Database (e.g., Oracle, DB2), VMware, and Docker/K8S servers while supporting new IT architecture design. - Collaborate with internal fabs and communicate across time zones with EBO engineers in Arizona and Taiwan. - Support scheduled weekday/night shifts, weekend on-duty rotations, and swing shifts.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Engineering, or an IT-related field. - Ability to design and execute experiments, interpret complex data, and systematically troubleshoot issues. - Understanding and application of statistical process control methods. - Ability to support on-site work in Phoenix, Arizona, with rotational night and weekend on-duty coverage.
Nice to have
- Experience in Linux, Windows, Network, VMware, Docker, or K8S system management. - RHCSA, RHCE, CCNA, or VCP certifications.
