About the role
Etched is seeking a hands-on People Operations Generalist to own the day-to-day employee experience from offer letter to departure and build scalable internal systems.
What you'll do
- Own the full employee lifecycle, managing onboarding, transfers, leaves of absence, and offboarding.
- Partner with employees and managers on company policy, benefits, and compensation, while coaching managers through performance reviews and team transitions.
- Execute core People programs, including performance management, feedback cycles, and engagement surveys.
- Maintain compliance with California and federal employment regulations, overseeing personnel records, I-9 verification, and statutory leaves alongside Legal.
- Administer benefits programs, open enrollment, relocation, and housing programs in coordination with brokers and vendors.
- Maintain data accuracy across systems by partnering with Finance on payroll inputs, equity administration, and compensation updates.
- Manage and optimize the HRIS and People tooling, automating workflows and developing self-service documentation.
What you'll need
- Proven experience leveraging reporting and data analytics to inform and direct strategic people initiatives.
- Hands-on experience with the Rippling HRIS platform or equivalent modern HR platforms.
- Working knowledge of workplace collaboration and productivity tools, including Jira, Slack, Notion, and GSuite.
- Track record of operating successfully in startup environments.
