About the role
This role involves shaping the tools, flows, and infrastructure for custom integrated circuit design by developing automation and providing support for Process Design Kits (PDKs).
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain automation utilities using Cadence SKILL and Linux scripting languages.
- Provide user support for Process Design Kits (PDKs) and design capture and layout tools.
- Contribute to methodology development for improved design productivity, including flow automation and environment configuration.
- Develop and maintain in-house PDKs and customize external foundry PDKs.
- Create scripts to ensure compatibility and integration of simulation, physical verification, and parasitic extraction collateral within the PDK.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of relevant experience in analog or mixed signal IC design, including schematic, layout design, and physical verification.
- Hands-on experience with Process Design Kit (PDK) development, maintenance, and support.
- Experience with automation of Cadence IC tools and scripting or programming (using Python, SKILL, Bash, Perl, Tcl/Tk, or similar).
- Familiarity with EDA tools used in IC design.
- Excellent technical communication skills with fluency in English.
- Ability to balance customer support requests with development tasks.
Nice to have
- Experience with Design Data Management software.
