About the role
This role is for a P4 Compiler Engineer to join the P4 Language Compiler team within the AMD Network Technology Solutions Group, focusing on AMD Pensando DPU products.
What you'll do
- Define and implement new P4 language features and extensions
- Develop optimizations for P4 language compiler
- Debug and fix existing issues and research alternative, more efficient ways to accomplish work
- Perform performance analysis
- Participate in ASIC co-design
What you'll need
- Strong C++ skills
- Ability to write high quality code with a keen attention to detail
- Experience with LLVM framework
- Experience with software development processes and tools such as debuggers, source code control systems (GitHub), and profilers
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
Nice to have
- Familiarity with P4 language or networking domain
Skills: P4 Language Compiler, new P4 language features, optimizations for P4, C++, LLVM framework
