About the role
Based in Milpitas, CA, this role focuses on developing, optimizing, and qualifying eBeam metrology applications for Overlay, CD, EPE, and process control. You will support technology development across advanced Logic, DRAM, NAND, and Advanced Packaging semiconductor processes.
What you'll do
- Develop, optimize, and qualify eBeam metrology applications for Overlay, CD, EPE, and process control. - Design and execute characterization plans to evaluate tool performance, accuracy, precision, matching, and throughput. - Lead customer demonstrations, evaluations, Head-to-Head (H2H) studies, beta testing, and production qualifications. - Analyze semiconductor process and metrology data to identify issues, develop solutions, and drive process control improvements. - Develop measurement recipes, Best Known Methods (BKMs), technical documentation, and application reports. - Collaborate with Product Engineering, Systems, Software, Algorithms, Marketing, and Sales teams on product enhancements and application development.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related experience, Master's degree with 3+ years of related experience, or a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. - At least 2 years of proven experience operating SEM and optical metrology systems in the semiconductor industry. - Knowledge of optical CD, scatterometry, film metrology, and process characterization. - Capability to perform complex data and image analysis using data-analysis tools. - Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% on short notice (trips lasting 4 to 8 weeks).
Nice to have
- Experience with Python, MATLAB, JMP, SQL, or similar analytical tools.
