About the role
As an Optical Coater, you will partner with the engineering and cleaning team to perform coating operations on parts, materials, and components, while documenting results.
What you'll do
- Perform coating operations of incoming parts, materials, and components.
- Coordinate the collection and disposition of coated material.
- Determine or assist in determining methods, sequences, and procedures necessary for coating/inspection.
- Work from written procedures, drawings, sketches, and specifications.
- Perform inspection/spectroscopy measurements where necessary.
What you'll need
- Two or more years of related experience.
- Experience using inspection tools and devices such as calipers, micrometers, microscope, height gauges, UV/VIS, Ellipsometer, Scratch dig standards.
- Experience performing per-coat/post coat inspection, cleaning, handling, and packaging optics.
- Knowledge of coating and vacuum systems, thin film deposition tools.
