About the role
This role involves supporting customer engagements, debugging hardware/software systems, and optimizing the performance of optical modules and interconnect products. The intern will gain hands-on experience with PAM4 DSP, linear TIA, driver, Coherent DSP, and optical technologies.
What you'll do
- Assist senior FAEs in reviewing customer schematic and layout designs involving PAM4 DSP, Coherent DSP, driver, and TIA in optical modules, AEC, NPO, XPO, and CPO.
- Support SI and PI simulations.
- Support lab activities to tune and optimize customer product performance.
- Participate in product bring-up and evaluation, performance testing, and debugging at the lab.
- Join customer support to assist in debugging issues in the customer system.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, FAQs, and internal training materials.
What you'll need
- Pursuing a Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Integrated Circuit Design and Integrated System, Integrated Circuit Science and Engineering, or Electronic Information Engineering related fields.
- Fundamental understanding or research experience in AMS high-speed SerDes (e.g., PAM4), analog TIA, driver chip designs, and optical communication systems.
- Able to commit at least a period of 4-6 months or more.
