About the role
Retym is seeking an Optical DSP Chief Architect to lead the system architecture of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) solutions for high-speed optical communication systems. The role focuses on defining architectures for optical transceivers and communication chips supporting 800G/1.6T and beyond.
What you'll do
- Define the system architecture for optical DSP chips used in high-speed optical communication networks (800G/1.6T and beyond). - Improve algorithms for equalization, error correction, clock and data recovery, and other signal processing functions. - Work closely with hardware, firmware, and chip architects to optimize DSP implementation for performance, power, and area. - Conduct system-level modelling and simulations to validate DSP algorithms and architectures. - Collaborate with photonics and RF teams to ensure seamless integration of DSP with optical front-end components. - Define key performance metrics and validation methodologies for DSP architectures.
What you'll need
- Experience leading system architecture for optical DSP chips in high-speed optical communication systems. - Expertise in signal processing algorithms including equalization, error correction, and clock and data recovery. - Background in system-level modelling and simulations to validate DSP architectures. - Experience collaborating with hardware, firmware, photonics, and RF teams on DSP implementation across performance, power, and area.
