About the role

As a Yield Analysis Engineer at Ocotillo Technology Fabrication, you will identify and solve yield and reliability challenges to optimize semiconductor production processes.

What you'll do

- Conduct yield analysis and failure investigations to identify root causes and recommend solutions to improve manufacturing yields and reliability. - Analyze end-of-line test data, process parameters, and electrical measurements using statistical tools to extract insights and perform correlation calculations. - Develop and implement characterization and analysis techniques to enhance failure analysis efficiency and precision. - Perform electrical failure analysis (EFA) to address yield limiters across product development and high-volume manufacturing phases. - Support process and defect characterization while identifying root causes for process, test marginalities, and product operation issues.

What you'll need

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or related STEM field with 4+ years of relevant experience, a Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, or a Ph.D. - Experience in yield analysis, failure analysis, or process integration in semiconductor manufacturing. - Background in statistics and data analytics, including yield modeling, SPC, DOE, and correlation analysis. - Experience with wafer sort testing, defect metrology, E test, or fab data systems.

Nice to have

- Programming or scripting experience in Python, SQL, JMP, or similar tools for large-scale data analysis, machine learning, or AI. - Familiarity with defect metrology, inline monitoring, and yield excursion management. - Experience supporting NPI ramps and HVM yield sustainment in a factory environment.
