What you'll do
- Work with New Product Development teams to communicate engineering drawing requirements to suppliers.
- Participate in New Product Introduction teams to promote design for manufacturability with suppliers.
- Develop a competitive supply base through continuous involvement in the Supplier Selection Process.
- Perform supplier technical audits, evaluate performance, and drive continuous improvement opportunities.
- Resolve quality problems and manage incidents, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Support product development by sourcing new technologies from qualified suppliers.
What you'll need
- Conceptual and practical expertise in NPI supplier engineering.
- Experience with semiconductor capital equipment industry and suppliers providing build-to-print (BTP) components and contract manufactured assemblies and modules.
- Expertise in working with product development engineers (mechanical, electrical) to identify best-fit supply chain and DFM improvements.
- Knowledge of best practices in the discipline and how it integrates with other areas.
Nice to have
- Experience with manufacturing of machined, sheet metal, cable/harness, and electro-mechanical assembly commodities.
