About the role
This role involves leading NPI materials project management, coordinating product development deliverables, and ensuring cost objectives are met within the supply chain.
What you'll do
- Forecast and communicate engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers.
- Lead the Materials Core Team and coordinate product development process deliverables through matrix management.
- Create, release, and maintain the new project materials strategy, including supplier sourcing, price, and delivery negotiations.
- Generate and publish Key Process Indicators, tracking total landed cost targets.
- Identify critical and long-lead parts with engineering and develop supplier/commodity roadmaps.
- Mediate and partner with quality and engineering teams to resolve supplier quality issues.
What you'll need
- Bachelor/master’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in NPI Sourcing project management within a manufacturing or technology-driven industry.
- Strong knowledge of material planning, procurement, and inventory management principles.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems and relevant software tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Excel).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Experience in supplier relationship management and supplier performance evaluation.
