About the role
The NPI Production/Material Planner is responsible for ensuring timely material availability for new product builds from prototype through production release, supporting both internal manufacturing and global contract manufacturers.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams to plan and manage builds for electrical, electromechanical, and mechanical assemblies.
- Manage multi-level, high-complexity Bills of Material (BOMs) for new products and ensure BOM accuracy.
- Coordinate material procurement and readiness for internal pilot-line builds, including resolving material shortages proactively.
- Manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), deviations, and RMAs/rework activities in partnership with suppliers and pilot line teams.
- Ensure internal delivery commitments are met by monitoring lead times, capacity, and material status.
- Lead the successful handoff of new products to high-volume manufacturing.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 3–5 years of production or material planning experience in an electrical and/or mechanical manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) concepts and systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office (advanced Excel and PowerPoint preferred).
- Experience with ERP (Oracle preferred) and PLM systems (Teamcenter preferred) and Rapid Response.
