About the role
This role involves identifying and troubleshooting difficult mechanical/electrical problems and performing engineering analysis with limited supervision, contributing to the development and implementation of custom mechanical tooling.
What you'll do
- Identify and troubleshoot a variety of difficult mechanical/electrical problems
- Define, coordinate, perform and document engineering test reports
- Develop, design, or modify mechanical engineering layouts, schematics, or drawings/specifications
- Perform engineering analysis of difficult scope
- Design, develop and implement custom mechanical tooling, fixturing and associated processes
- Specify and review engineering documentation
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10-15 years of experience
- Demonstrated experience with CAD software
- Demonstrated experience with DFX assessments
- Demonstrated experience with advanced troubleshooting
- Demonstrated experience with NPI processes
Nice to have
- Knowledge of the Applied Materials product life cycle, including prototyping, packaging, material selection and manufacturing methods
