Work on High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) products for Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and high-performance computing applications.
About the role
This role involves the development and validation of HBM products from design through qualification and high-volume manufacturing. You will work at the intersection of semiconductor design, silicon validation, hardware and software debugging, and data analysis.
What you'll do
- Develop expertise in JEDEC HBM specifications, internal architecture documentation, and HBM design schematics and layouts.
- Perform silicon validation and characterization of HBM products using laboratory equipment, circuit simulations, debugging techniques, and data analysis.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, Test, Quality, and other multi-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Analyze validation data, identify trends, and implement solutions that improve product performance, quality, reliability, and manufacturability.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with one or more of the following: schematic analysis, circuit simulation, data analysis, laboratory debugging, or pattern manipulation.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills through academic projects, internships, research, or professional experience.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and deliver high-quality work.
Nice to have
- Coursework or experience in VLSI design, semiconductor processes, Python, and C/C++ programming.
- Experience with Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog.
- Knowledge of memory architectures, semiconductor validation methodologies, or high-speed interface technologies.
- Experience leveraging AI or Artificial Intelligence tools to support engineering analysis, automation, debugging, or productivity improvements.

How we counted: 410 open Post-Silicon Validation (Silicon Validation) roles from 61 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 16 Oct 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Silicon Validation & Test family row.
