This role involves the development of network security and intrusion detection capabilities for the vDefend Advanced Threat Prevention (ATP) solution, a security analytics solution for the detection and prevention of advanced threats.
What you'll do
- Conduct deep-dive research into emerging network threats to keep IDPS capability ahead of adversaries.
- Architect and build AI-enabled and agentic security solutions to proactively protect virtual workloads within large-scale data center environments.
- Analyze malicious traffic to design, prototype, and implement detection approaches and high-performance IDPS signatures.
- Construct and maintain scalable data collection infrastructures, incorporating automated feedback loops and data enrichment.
- Translate threat intelligence into actionable, high-fidelity detection logic and signatures.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 12+ years of related experience, or Master’s degree and 10+ years, or PhD and 7+ years.
- Strong experience and interest in network security.
- Understanding of IDPS concepts and experience at developing IDS signatures.
- Experience with the Python programming language.
- Familiarity with Docker and k8s environments.
- Willingness and familiarity in working with AI tools and agentic AI systems.
