Network Software Engineer, Automation and Intelligence on the Network Automation & Intelligence Platforms team building and operating network automation systems across corporate offices, campuses, HPC data centers, contract manufacturing sites, and labs.
What you'll do
- Design and implement network automation for new builds and bring-ups, covering zero-touch provisioning, config generation, validation, and handoff to operations. - Support live production networks using automated change execution, health checks, drift detection, and incident triage. - Contribute to the platform stack, including source of truth, CI/CD pipelines, orchestration, and observability integrations. - Build LLM- and agent-based network tooling for autonomous, self-validating change execution with rollback, scoped boundaries, and full audit trails. - Partner with network, compute, storage, and facilities teams to convert operational needs into reliable software. - Document, mentor, and enable engineers across teams to contribute to the automation codebase.
What you'll need
- MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. - 12+ years of experience in network engineering or network software, across both build and production operations. - Hands-on network automation experience with Python, Ansible, REST/gNMI/NETCONF APIs, and Git-based workflows. - Solid grounding in routing, switching, and network architecture, including BGP, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN, and MLAG. - Experience with multi-vendor environments such as Arista, Cisco, Cumulus/NVIDIA, and Palo Alto. - Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical projects from start to finish.
