About the role
This role involves layout design, owning chip-level collaterals, and working with memory-interface chips.
What you'll do
- Perform layout design of assigned blocks using Cadence Virtuoso XL/VXL.
- Collaborate with designers to resolve layout issues.
- Fix reliability issues such as EMIR, ESD/Latchup.
- Apply standard layout practices including layout matching, parasitic, noise & noise isolation, supply consideration, latch up, shielding, Well’s substrates, and isolation.
What you'll need
- MS Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong fundamental knowledge in LVS, DRC, Antenna, and Density checks with Calibre.
- Layout experience in 22nm, FINFET nodes 16nm, 12nm, 7nm.
- Sound knowledge of double patterning, device matching, signal shielding, layout parasitic, and layout dependent effects.
- Strong fundamental knowledge in semiconductor device physics, cross-section, and construction.
Nice to have
- Experience in layout design of Transmitter, receiver, PLL, clocking, PI, Bandgap, and voltage regulators.
- Knowledge of skill/Perl/tcl scripting.
