About the role

This internship role focuses on digital logic design within the Memory Technology Group at SanDisk. The team develops 3D memory technologies in a dedicated hardware laboratory environment.

What you'll do

• Develop RTL design automation tools and scripts to improve engineering productivity.
• Create and execute directed test vectors for design verification and validation.
• Work alongside engineers on real-world memory technology projects.

What you'll need

• Currently pursuing a Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of digital logic design and computer architecture concepts.
• Familiarity with RTL design using Verilog or SystemVerilog through coursework, academic projects, or internships.
• Understanding of logic simulation and digital verification methodologies.
• Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Python, Tcl, or C/C++.

Nice to have

• Coursework or project experience related to ASIC, VLSI, FPGA, or digital system design.
• Familiarity with one or more stages of the digital design flow, including RTL design, simulation, synthesis, timing analysis, or verification.
• Exposure to industry EDA tools such as Synopsys or Cadence tools through coursework, research, or prior internships.
• Understanding of semiconductor fundamentals, CMOS circuits, or device physics.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN, Perforce, etc.).
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and command-line tools.
