About the role
This position is responsible for the fabrication, modification, repair, and assembly of precision parts, tooling, fixtures, and equipment to support manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, and facility operations. The role involves working independently from engineering drawings, sketches, and customer requirements to produce high-quality components.
What you'll do
- Fabricate precision components, fixtures, tooling, prototypes, and equipment modifications to required specifications.
- Operate manual and CNC mills, lathes, grinders, saws, drill presses, and other machine shop equipment.
- Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, blueprints, and sketches.
- Determine appropriate manufacturing methods and machining sequence to efficiently complete projects.
- Perform troubleshooting, repair, and modification of existing equipment and tooling.
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, facilities, and manufacturing teams to develop solutions for operational challenges.
What you'll need
- Skilled machinist capable of working independently.
- Experience utilizing conventional and CNC machining equipment.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, blueprints, and sketches.
- Ability to determine appropriate manufacturing methods and machining sequence.
- Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and modify existing equipment and tooling.
- Ability to select appropriate materials, tooling, cutting parameters, and machining techniques.
Nice to have
- Experience with CAD/CAM software.
- CNC programming and setup experience.
- Welding, fabrication, sheet metal experience.
- Experience supporting engineering development projects and custom equipment fabrication.
