About the role
The Mixed-Signal Electrical Design Engineer takes ownership of complex PCBAs, designing, simulating, and validating analog circuits, digital circuits, and power supplies for cameras. The scope spans architectural definition in response to subsystem requirements through lab characterization, documentation, and transfer to manufacturing.
What you'll do
- Define, analyze, and optimize mixed-signal circuit architectures for board designs featuring high-speed digital interfaces, memory, FPGAs or processors, power supplies, ADCs, and DACs. - Perform SPICE simulations to demonstrate that designs meet subsystem requirements. - Collaborate with layout engineers on floor planning, high-speed routing, parasitic extraction, and matching techniques. - Manage the full lifecycle from architectural definition through lab characterization, documentation, and transfer to manufacturing. - Mentor junior engineers, conduct design reviews, and define best practices.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related work experience, Master's degree and 3 years of related work experience, or a Doctorate degree and 0 years of experience in Electrical Engineering or a related field. - Experience designing, simulating, and validating analog circuits, digital circuits, and power supplies on PCBAs. - Experience with SPICE simulation for circuit performance verification. - Experience handling lab characterization and design documentation for mixed-signal hardware.
Nice to have
- Strong background in analog and digital design including ADCs, PLLs, and SerDes. - Solid knowledge of power supply designs and sequencing options. - Experience with EDA tools including Orcad Capture, Allegro, ADS, LTspice, and LTpowerCAD.
