About the role
As a Mechanical Technician in the Advanced Purity Solutions Division, you will perform tasks related to building Ultra High Purity Systems. This includes manufacturing sub-assemblies to engineering specifications and assisting with routing cables and conduit.
What you'll do
- Assemble mechanical and electrical subassemblies and systems working from instructions, drawings, schematics, piping and instrumentation drawings, illustrations, and process documentation with supervision. - Complete cabinet preparation by installing bracketing, piping insulation, and sub-assemblies with supervision. - Assist with routing cables and conduit on Ultra High Purity Systems according to engineering specifications. - Understand standard and non-standard options according to Customer Data Sheets (CDS) requirements. - Perform routine assembly operations and execute 6S responsibilities (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain, safety) to maintain a safe and clean work environment. - Learn proper measuring techniques, tool care and usage, and quality standards while maintaining or increasing on-time shipments.
What you'll need
- High School Diploma or GED. - 0-2 years of mechanical assembly or relevant experience. - Ability to learn to navigate through operating systems to locate BOMs, drawings, and instructions. - Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs daily and climb ladders and be on your feet for extended periods of time. - Dependability and flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required.
