About the role
As a Mechanical Engineer V - (E5), you will leverage physics, mathematics, and materials science to resolve mechanical problems, design custom mechanical tooling and associated processes, and enable the assembly and handling of parts, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle.
What you'll do
- Independently develop and implement concepts for complex product issues and engineering solutions. - Lead or execute engineering projects and direct research and development of new technologies. - Specify or perform complex engineering analysis to troubleshoot technical problems and address High Value Problems (HVP). - Generate product specifications and define, coordinate, perform, and document engineering tests. - Specify the development, design, or modification of engineering layouts, schematics, drawings, and specifications. - Specify and review engineering documentation, processes, and oversee manufacturing and installation requirements.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree. - 10-15 years of experience. - Deep technical expertise in mechanical engineering and knowledge of the Applied Materials product life cycle. - In-depth cross-functional knowledge of adjacent engineering disciplines. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills to explain complex technical information and build consensus.
