About the role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will process and resolve mechanical problems, design and implement custom mechanical tooling, and enable the handling, assembly, and disassembly of parts throughout the product life cycle.
What you'll do
- Perform engineering analysis.
- Design or modify mechanical engineering layouts/schematics and detailed drawings/specifications.
- Perform and document engineering tests.
- Generate alpha/gamma documentation for product release.
- Coordinate procurement and assembly of mechanical components/equipment and identify sources of critical parts and subsystems.
- Troubleshoot a variety of mechanical problems.
What you'll need
- Strong foundation in physics, mathematics, and materials science.
- Experience designing, developing, and modifying mechanical engineering layouts, schematics, and specifications.
- Ability to oversee manufacturing and installation processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
- Experience coordinating procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment for design projects.
- Ability to identify sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve technical issues.
- Demonstrates expanded conceptual knowledge in own discipline.
- Solves problems in straightforward situations using technical experience and judgment.
