About the role
This Mechanical Engineer Co-Op will assist in developing new, high purity, solid precursor delivery systems and infrastructure for advanced node chemistries in the semiconductor industry.
What you'll do
- Coordinate project timelines with the lead mechanical engineer for New Product Development (NPD).
- Perform hands-on component assemblies for subassemblies and support equipment.
- Develop factory infrastructure to support container builds, cleans, capacity, and quality improvements.
- Confirm component fitment, tolerance stack up, functionality, and ease of assembly and use.
- Quote components and order parts directly with machine shops and outside vendors.
- Support 2D drawings of components, subassemblies, and bills of materials that adhere to ASME Y14.5M-2009 standards.
What you'll need
- Demonstrated experience within a global, multicultural, multi-location organization serving the semiconductor industry.
- Ability to introduce improvements in product performance and/or cost (value engineering).
- Understanding of Materials of Construction and their interaction with corrosive chemicals.
- Fundamental knowledge of vapor pressure, material stability, material compatibility, and thermodynamics (mass flow).
- Experience with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis and associated software.
- Must be a currently enrolled Mechanical Engineering student, graduating in 2027-2028.
