About the role
This role involves mechanical design tasks directly related to product development for Qorvo's Defense & Aerospace product lines. The work includes electronics packaging component design and 3D modeling of product assemblies.
What you'll do
- Contribute to mechanical design tasks for product development.
- Design electronics packaging components.
- Create 3D models of product assemblies.
- Source and procure custom designed hardware.
- Perform thermal FEA modeling to identify and mitigate potential performance risks.
- Conduct infrared thermography to determine product temperatures during operation.
- Perform structural FEA modeling to quantify component stresses during assembly with a focus on manufacturability.
What you'll need
- BS with 3 years of experience or MS with 0-1 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum GPA of 3.5.
- 3D CAD experience.
- FEA or CFD modeling experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance.
