About the role
This role involves supporting the Production team by assembling and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and optical assemblies.
What you'll do
- Assemble and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and optical assemblies.
- Recommend changes in documentation to enhance manufacturability and quality.
- Test new manufacturing processes and collect data with Manufacturing Engineers.
- Diagnose and recommend repair actions and upgrades for return customer systems.
- Deliver trainings to small groups of Assemblers and Technicians.
What you'll need
- Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent certifications/experience.
- 1 or more years of manufacturing-related experience, ideally with optics and electro-optics.
- Ability to work under changing priorities and deadlines.
- Attention to detail.
- General computer skills and knowledge (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Teams).
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot software-driven systems.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, Bill of Materials, schematics, and drawings.
- Ability to analyze data and report problems, define problem statements, initiate root cause analysis, and propose actions.
- Ability to use standard hand tools and electronic test equipment.
- Knowledge of ESD practices.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds.
Nice to have
- Experience with optics and electro-optics.
