About the role
This role is for a Manufacturing Technician supporting grinding and polishing equipment in Bedford, MA, with a focus on material removal and surface modification processes.
What you'll do
- Follow all safety best practices and wear required PPE.
- Fixture, operate, and de fixture parts using grinding and polishing equipment.
- Perform quality inspections, including visual checks and metrology tools.
- Plan and perform routine equipment maintenance.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting of equipment and product quality issues.
- Record work confirmations in SAP and enter production/inspection data into CamLine.
What you'll need
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including plotting and interpreting process data.
- Comfortable using computer systems such as SAP and ETQ.
- Trained and experienced in machine operation safety protocols.
- Basic math skills, including arithmetic and algebra.
Nice to have
- Additional college or technical coursework.
- Machine operation experience.
- 4-8 years of experience in surface modification processes like CMP, grinding, machining, lapping, or polishing.
- Knowledge of ceramic material surface modifications with CMP, grinding, machining, lapping, or polishing.
- Knowledge of CNC machines, programming, and fixture design.
