This role supports the development, implementation, and improvement of manufacturing systems within Garnet Operations, focusing on connecting manufacturing equipment, automated data collection, dashboards, and database interfaces. The position emphasizes Liquid Phase Epitaxy (LPE) manufacturing and supports Hillsborough, NJ and Easton, PA locations.
What you'll do
- Support networking and connectivity of Liquid Phase Epitaxy (LPE) manufacturing systems.
- Develop reliable methods for automated equipment and process data collection.
- Develop and implement standardized Liquid Phase Epitaxy (LPE) system dashboards.
- Support implementation of the new Hillsborough manufacturing database and transition from Microsoft Access systems.
- Identify and implement opportunities to reduce manual data entry and improve data accuracy through automated data capture and equipment integration.
- Develop automated production, process, yield, and equipment reporting.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Automation, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience supporting manufacturing equipment, manufacturing systems, automation, databases, or industrial data systems.
- Experience with relational databases and database queries.
- Programming or scripting experience applicable to manufacturing systems, data collection, dashboards, or automation.
- Experience in manufacturing environments such as crystal growth, semiconductor, photonics, optical materials, or advanced materials.
- Experience connecting industrial/manufacturing equipment to plant networks.
- Experience with SQL databases, Microsoft Access, data visualization, or dashboard-development tools.
- Experience with automated equipment-data acquisition and manufacturing databases.
- Experience integrating equipment data with manufacturing databases, MES, or similar production systems.
