About the role
Manage day-to-day Telecom filter production operations to meet site and customer requirements across testing, wavelength tuning, and shipping. This role oversees a team of Manufacturing Technicians, drives process improvements, and monitors WIP and inventory using the Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
What you'll do
- Manage daily Telecom filter production operations across multistage lines (Transfer, Test, Tune, and Shipping) to meet delivery schedules and cost targets. - Review daily production requirements and coordinate with leads to ensure staffing, raw materials, and equipment readiness. - Monitor production lines to identify process improvements, examine processes affecting yields, and execute continuous improvement initiatives. - Track and maintain physical and electronic WIP and inventory using the Manufacturing Execution System (MES). - Work with the Quality Administrator to develop work instructions, establish training matrices, and enforce ISO quality standards. - Supervise, train, and develop Manufacturing Technicians while maintaining strict compliance with site EHS policies and cleanroom safety protocols.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing company, with 2-5 years in a supervisory role. - Demonstrated experience developing and sustaining High-Performance Work Groups. - Knowledge of automation, machining, and manufacturing processes. - Experience with ISO Quality and business process management. - Proven track record of functional-level problem analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. - Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and related tools.
Nice to have
- Lean Manufacturing experience. - Experience in thin film coatings. - Experience with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) software.
