About the role
As a Manufacturing OEM Technician I, you will build Ultra High Purity Systems and subassemblies in a Class 100 cleanroom work environment. The position is part of the Advanced Purity Solutions Division in San Luis Obispo, CA, supporting 1st shift operations from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
What you'll do
- Assemble mechanical and electrical subassemblies and systems using engineering drawings, schematics, piping and instrumentation drawings, illustrations, and process documentation under supervision. - Work within a Class 100 (ISO 5) cleanroom environment wearing required garments and protective equipment. - Install tube fittings using VCR (vacuum coupling radius) and compression fittings with supervision. - Perform routine assembly operations and processes following engineering and customer requirement specifications. - Execute 6S responsibilities (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain, safety) to maintain a safe and clean work environment. - Use proper measuring techniques, tooling, and quality standards to assemble products.
What you'll need
- High School Diploma or equivalent. - 1-2 years of mechanical assembly or relevant experience. - Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment. - Ability to navigate operating systems to access BOMs, drawings, and work instructions, along with basic data entry skills. - Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs daily, climb ladders, and remain standing for extended periods. - Flexibility to work overtime and weekends to support operational requirements.
