About the role
This role involves ensuring the safety, quality, and on-time delivery of unpacking, packing, and cleaning activities for inbound and outbound material handling.
What you'll do
- Optimize package specifications for inbound, outbound, and transportation requirements.
- Identify packaging risks and implement preventive solutions for material damage, contamination, handling constraints, and transport risks.
- Lead packaging trials, validations, and change implementations, defining acceptance criteria.
- Analyze material unpacking and packing processes to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
- Lead cross-functional improvement projects to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
- Provide hands-on support to resolve rigging and packaging operational disturbances and investigate material damage.
What you'll need
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, logistics, or industrial engineering.
- 3+ years working experience with warehouse, logistics, packaging, material-handling, or manufacturing operations.
- Hands-on experience working with operational teams in a warehouse, factory, or clean room environment.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to implement process changes.
- Experience analyzing operational processes and leading process improvement initiatives.
Nice to have
- Experience with 3PL management.
- Experience with logistics automation, packaging/material handling automation, AGV/AMR, or other automation related projects.
- Experience using AI tools for data analysis, process improvement, documentation or knowledge management.
