About the role
This Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op will support manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives. The role involves working within a production environment at the Chaska, MN site.
What you'll do
- Participate in daily Tier meetings to monitor production performance and identify challenges.
- Create, update, and maintain manufacturing work instructions and process documentation.
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and waste reduction.
- Prepare and initiate Management of Change (MOC) documentation for process improvements and operational changes.
- Present proposed process changes and improvement initiatives to cross-functional teams.
- Collect and analyze production data to support decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
What you'll need
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least one year of completed coursework.
- Interest in manufacturing processes, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a production setting and managing multiple priorities.
Nice to have
- Previous manufacturing, production, internship, Co-Op, or hands-on technical experience.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software.
