This role involves advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work within manufacturing engineering, focusing on system-level challenges in a production environment.
What you'll do
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and support system-level challenges in a production environment.
- Conduct failure analysis reports and investigations.
- Structure BOM for multidisciplinary products, submit, and manage engineering change orders.
- Write procedures to document assembly instructions and production processes.
- Support development or replacement of end-of-life/obsolete mechanical parts.
- Design and develop fixtures to support production 3D CAD modeling and 2D drawing generation.
- Quote, prototype, integrate, and test solutions.
- Work with suppliers to resolve component/yield/part problems and assist purchasing in driving supplier quality improvements and cost reductions.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintain project timelines, and work independently.
What you'll need
- 4 years of experience in BOM structuring for multidisciplinary products, submitting, and managing engineering change orders.
- 4 years of experience in writing procedures to document assembly instructions and production processes.
- 4 years of experience in supporting development or replacement of end-of-life/obsolete mechanical parts.
- 4 years of experience in designing and developing fixtures to support production 3D CAD modeling and 2D drawing generation.
- 4 years of experience in quotation, prototyping, integration, and testing.
- Experience with SAP ERP, Autodesk AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Catia, OrCAD, harness design software, Cirris.
- Experience with Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS), MRP II, Kanban systems, Gantt charts.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Intermediate SQL, Intermediate Power BI, VBA Macros.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, Six Sigma (Green Belt), Lean Manufacturing principles, OSHA standards, EPA regulations.
- Doctorate Degree; or Master's Level Degree and 3 years related work experience; or Bachelor's Level Degree and 5 years related work experience.
