About the role
This role is for a Manager of Software Development focused on building a platform where autonomous AI agents run hardware validation campaigns, triage failures, and continuously grow a shared knowledge base.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain the AI agent orchestration layer, including multi-agent dispatch and inter-agent communication protocols.
- Build and continuously improve retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, including document ingestion, chunking, embedding strategies, and hybrid search.
- Design and implement distributed services, APIs, event-driven architectures, and microservices powering AI workflows and platform integrations.
- Develop and deploy agentic AI solutions, autonomous agents, and LLM-powered workflows that transform validation operations across hardware teams.
- Own features end-to-end, from project estimation and architecture review through coding, deployment, and post-launch measurement.
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code with strong observability, automated testing, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines.
What you'll need
- Software development experience with a strong portfolio of production systems.
- Experience leading and growing engineering teams, including hiring, mentoring, and setting technical direction.
- Experience building AI-native software and shipping LLM-powered systems.
- Hands-on experience building RAG pipelines, including embedding models, vector databases, and retrieval evaluation.
- Production experience with LLM tool use, multi-agent orchestration, prompt engineering, and context management.
- Proficiency in Python, TypeScript/Node.js, Go, Java, C#, or Rust, with demonstrated ability to build and operate production-scale services.
- Experience with async programming, API design, distributed systems, and clean code practices.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP for infrastructure provisioning and deploying production workloads.
Nice to have
- Experience with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or agentic platforms (LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen).
- Familiarity with knowledge graph systems (Neo4j, LightRAG) or graph-augmented RAG.
- Experience with CI/CD systems and automated test infrastructure.
- Exposure to Slack API, GitHub API, or Atlassian REST APIs.
- Experience with data pipeline design, ETL workflows, data warehousing, or analytics platforms.
