About the role
This role involves leading a team to validate the performance of integrated quantum subsystems, which generate entangled states of photons for quantum error correction and algorithms. The work includes planning and executing design validation testing and developing characterization techniques for photonic qubit states.
What you'll do
- Manage a validation team, including technical oversight, project management, and talent management.
- Develop and execute validation and verification plans within demanding development schedules.
- Plan and execute system integration test points for hardware, firmware, and software.
- Lead the definition and documentation of quantum and semi-classical calibration, self-test, and diagnostic functions.
- Provide cross-functional support by communicating design-for-test, calibration, and data acquisition requirements.
- Lead the assessment of the subsystem’s in situ performance within a larger system.
What you'll need
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects integrating optical and electronic hardware, firmware, software, and data infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience with quantum optics, single photon generation and detection.
- Demonstrated experience with quantum characterization, verification, and validation.
- Demonstrated experience with integrated silicon photonics.
- Demonstrated experience with mixed-signal, analog, RF electronics design and test.
- Demonstrated experience with electro-optical device design and test.
- Demonstrated ability to design and execute complex experiments or engineering tests in a cross-functional environment.
