Supervises employees across production and operation functions, including assembly, inspection, and test, for capital equipment, systems, subassemblies, and subsystems.
What you'll do
- Prioritize production schedules based on available manpower, equipment efficiency, capacity, and materials requirements. - Supervise assembly, inspection, test, and final test operations for electro-mechanical and mechanical components. - Support organizational performance metrics, conduct milestone meetings, and meet or improve cycle time performance. - Oversee workplace safety, ensure compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety training, and implement safety policies. - Support analysis and planning for production capacity optimization, implementing processes that collect, analyze, and report key measurement data. - Drive Lean, Safety, and Quality initiatives while executing corrective action and process changes to improve manufacturing capabilities.
What you'll need
- Supervisory experience managing production employees, setting daily priorities, coaching, and handling performance management. - Experience prioritizing production schedules against capacity, materials, and equipment efficiency constraints. - Understanding and application of procedures within manufacturing operations and related operational job families. - Ability to analyze operational problems and implement corrective action for cost of quality and cycle time metrics.
