What you'll do
- Supervise employees in production and operations functions for manufacturing capital equipment and systems.
- Prioritize production schedules based on manpower, equipment efficiency, capacity, and materials requirements.
- Track organization performance metrics and manage cycle time performance.
- Ensure timely response to operations issues and conformance to customer/vendor requirements.
- Oversee accident and injury prevention, ensuring employees receive appropriate safety training.
- Develop personnel through training, career development, performance management, and coaching.
- Support analysis and planning for maximum production capacity optimization.
- Drive Lean, Safety, and Quality initiatives to identify and implement process and quality changes.
What you'll need
- Demonstrated understanding and application of production procedures and concepts.
- Ability to apply understanding of team relationships to improve efficiency.
- Experience with formal supervisory responsibilities, setting priorities, and coaching employees.
- Judgment to identify and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems.
- Ability to use tact and diplomacy to exchange information and handle sensitive issues.
- Experience interacting with outside customers, vendors, or suppliers.
